The 2nd Art Thessaloniki will be held at the HELEXPO Exhibition and Conference Center (10, 9 & 8 stands) in the center of Thessaloniki.
Art Thessaloniki with China’s Honored Country and an extensive parallel program, including museum exhibitions, honored artist and original events, is waiting to welcome many visitors, collectors, buyers and galleries from Greece, Europe, Japan, Israel, Turkey, Russia, the Balkan countries, and the United States, which will participate and will visit it.
Art Thessaloniki works both at the level of artistic expression and at the level of commercial, cultural and economic development. It is a meeting of art galleries that invest in Thessaloniki’s strategic and geographic location, its multicultural identity, its long history with its special ties to the Balkan countries, Russia, Israel and Turkey.

The Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art, first inaugurated in 2007, is organised by the Greek State Museum of Contemporary Art and has assumed the responsibility of bringing together Thessaloniki’s various artistic sectors while simultaneously providing a further international voice to Greece’s artistic scene. Although tested by the current social conditions and the downsizing of available financial resources, the 6th Thessaloniki Biennale is to be executed using the Museum’s own resources –its manpower and collaborative relationships– to take full advantage of the region’s existing cultural capital, as well as the wealth of Thessaloniki’s architectural heritage. The core aspiration of the 6th Biennale is to cultivate a model of co-curation, to diffuse contemporary art throughout the city, and to utilise synergies in Greece and abroad.
