Europe Congress organized the 11th MCE Central and Eastern Europe 2022 on 27, 28 February and 1 March 2022.
Thessaloniki Convention Bureau hosted MCE South Eastern Europe in 2018 and we were very happy to be back, among old and new friends and business partners, for the first international MICE business forum of the year,
This boutique event, took place in Budapest, welcoming around 130 participants, half of which are international event planners. These participating hosted buyers have been screened and selected based on their interest in organizing a large number of events within the Central and Eastern European region. The suppliers formed the other half of the participants. They represented Central & Eastern European hotels, chains, DMC’s, congress centers, and convention bureaus, all very keen to use the synergy provided from the event to find new business. The prescheduled B2B meetings were at the heart of the event and provided the perfect environment for conclusive business matchmaking, accomplished by a surplus of networking opportunities – coffee breaks, luncheons, and evening programs, including dinners at fabulous venues.
Jonathan Bradshaw successfully MC-ed the event and Destinations were represented by leading Convention Bureaus from Hungary, Salzburg, Croatia, Tallinn, the Czech Republic, Thessaloniki, Slovenia and many more. The participating destinations opened the event, giving inspiring short presentations.
Companies like Kenes, Ipsen Pharma, BCD, Volvo, Cap Gemini, Meetingselect, CWT, and over 10 international operating associations were present to find new business partners.
Europe Congress delivered what they are best at – excellent MICE workshops – where buyers and suppliers met in a way that is proven to be most efficient and satisfying with pre-scheduled B2B meetings, according to a match-made agenda all participants received prior the event.
Although B2B meetings represented the most significant aspect of the event, Europe Congress delivered so much more! Two exquisite tours, a magnificent Gala dinner at the Museum of Fine Arts and a lively closing party were much appreciated by all participants.
Thessaloniki Convention Bureau delivered a destination presentation and held 35 interesting B2B meetings with meeting planners interested for the destination.
