Thessaloniki strengthened its momentum as a MICE destination in 2025, recording more events, a greater economic impact and strong growth in corporate events.
📊 According to data collected by the Thessaloniki Convention Bureau, the city hosted 778 national and international meetings and conferences, compared with 727 in 2024-an increase of 7%. Their estimated economic impact reached €170 million, up from €150 million the previous year, marking a 13.3% increase.
🌍 Three out of ten events were international, while more than 2,700 corporate events were recorded, compared with 2,500 in 2024-an increase of at least 8%. The share of multi-day corporate events also grew, with two-to-three-day events reaching 17.5% and events lasting four days or more reaching 6.7%.
🏨 This activity was hosted across educational institutions, hotels, conference and exhibition venues, reflecting the range of facilities available in Thessaloniki. It also extended throughout the year, supporting visitor activity beyond the traditional peak tourism periods.
