Nektarios Parmakis

Nektarios Parmakis is an experienced professional in the fields of alternative tourism and insurance, with a strong record of volunteer work in mountain rescue. Since 2000, he has been an active member of the Hellenic Rescue Team (HRT), and from 2006 to 2012 he served as the Head of the Mountain Rescue Department, organizing and coordinating numerous rescue operations. He has participated in global conferences of the International Commission for Alpine Rescue (ICAR), contributing to knowledge exchange and the promotion of best practices.

Alongside his professional career as a mountain refuge manager on Mount Olympus and founder of tourism businesses, he remains dedicated to training new rescuers and promoting mountain safety culture. He has also collaborated with international organizations such as ANENA. His ability to combine his profession with volunteer service stands as a remarkable example of social responsibility and selfless action.
