The Greek Τourism Ιndustry continues to follow a strong upward trajectory, with the previous year marking a landmark performance that reinforced its international competitiveness and economic impact.
On behalf of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), I am pleased to welcome the “Connect Tourism & Travel Event Thessaloniki”, a well-established initiative of the Thessaloniki Convention Bureau that has, over recent years, made a meaningful contribution to strengthening Greece’s presence in the global tourism sector.
GNTO actively supports this initiative, recognizing its strategic importance as a platform that brings together key stakeholders of the local tourism ecosystem with leading international professionals, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Thessaloniki, a vibrant and outward-looking metropolis with a rich cultural identity and modern infrastructure, is emerging as an increasingly competitive destination across the tourism spectrum, while further strengthening its position within the international MICE sector. Initiatives of this nature play a decisive role in showcasing its comparative advantages and reinforcing its overall appeal as a high-quality destination for both leisure and business travel.
GNTO remains firmly committed to supporting initiatives that promote extroversion, collaboration, and innovation, contributing to the long-term sustainability and international competitiveness of Greek Tourism.
